5e Half-Oni Tea Mistress

This is a build for a 5e tiefling tea-mistress.  This is based on a character I made for a story rather than any roleplaying game. Her first incarnation in an RPG was in Fate. Her actual back story was that she was half-oni and overheard a priestess (or perhaps her mother, I toyed around with things a bit) conducting a tea ceremony with her oni father as a way of banishing him so that he would leave the family alone.

This is assuming the older versions of oni prior to the characterization of them as big, lumbering ogre like monsters. My original thought was to simulate a half-oni by making a human with an appropriate feat, but I've had a couple people comment that tiefling is better fitting. I've had one person suggest half-orc due to the more well known representation of oni as the afore-mentioned lumbering brutes, but that is counter to the back story of the character I'm using as a model for this theoretical build.

Some concepts I am focused on for this build: the character's magic was entirely performed through tea ceremonies or the brewing of magical teas. So direct, battlefield casting would not be her focus. The game does not have a character type that focuses mostly on creating potions and rituals, so there will have to be some rethinking of application here.

In general, I am going to focus on spells marked as rituals, have a casting time no less than 10 minutes or else are self-only or touch ranged buff and healing spells to simulate the need to walk over give someone the necessary tea to enchant, heal them or whatever. Given the personality of the character, she doesn't much care about the purpose of the teas, she just is incessant about learning new tea recipes.

Other options for this character concept would be playing wizard or cleric and limiting spell selection to the same thing: touch range buffs or heals. This would be a little less fitting with cleric because one of the primary facets of the character is her urge to find more recipes and clerics don't have to learn their spells, they just get them at each level. In addition, for a more pure tea mistress, Lore would be best, but we're making this as a Valor bard due to the inspiration character's tendency to get more Red Oni when not doing something ritual or brewing related, at which time she is more Blue Oni (Red Oni = reckless, emotional and loud; Blue Oni = calm, logical and quiet;  Naruto vs Sasuke...Flash vs Batman...Heracles vs Captain America...etc)

I am using a custom background using the criteria from the Players Handbook: 2 Skills, 2 Tools

Using the normal array I use of 15,14,13,12,11,10

5th Level - Bardic Inspiration (d8), Font of Inspiration, Proficiency Bonus +3, +6 HP
3rd Level: Leomund's Tiny Hut

Reasoning: Valor was chosen again because the inspiration character is a little bit prone to mood swings and her typical answer to combat is to actually fight. All her spells are, again, rituals, self-enhancing or cast through touch range to simulate that she's giving out special teas. Note that her song of rest is less of a song and more her setting up tea and serving it during rests. Though her tea service would likely include the playing of a samisen, the actual magic is in the tea.

10th Level - Bardic Inspiration (d10), Expertise: Religion, Persuasion, Magical Secrets, +6 HP
Cantrip: Friends
4th Level Spell: Divination
5th Level Spell: Hallow

Reasoning: This was the point where I remembered that some spells naturally have a casting time of 10 minutes or longer and would thus fit within my thematic criteria of either drinking a tea or performing a tea ceremony. As such, Planar Binding and Hallow join the spell list. War Caster allows her to "cast" with her hands full, which basically I'm imagining means that she has learned to attach a quick drop and recover cord to her short sword so that she can let go, leave the sword dangling, grab one of her teas and hand it to someone thus "casting" the spell. I'm assuming she picked up a chain shirt and shield somewhere since learning how to use them.

5th Level Spell: Commune with Nature
7th Level Spell: Simulacrum

15th Level - Bardic Inspiration (d12), +6 HP
8th Level Spell: Glibness

Reasoning: Most of this falls within the theme of Asian style magician and the limits imposed by myself on spell selection to go with the theme of a tea mistress. The stand out bit was the Feat: Medium Armor Master which makes her a bit more capable in combat and allows her to upgrade to scale mail without suffering Disadvantage on Stealth. This goes with her Red Oni, Blue Oni mood swing concept. This is also the point where I realized that Raise Dead is now on the Bard lists.

19th Level - Ability Score Improvement, +1 Cha, +1 Str, +6 HP

20th Level -Superior Inspiration, +6 HP

Reasoning: Wish I prevaricated on quite a bit, but eventually decided that the many and varied concoctions and elixirs of Asian mythology allowed for a tea that could rewrite reality. That is sort of a risky choice for a spell since some uses of it risk remove your ability to ever use it again. It also fit within the criteria of a "self-only buff". This represents the biggest stretch I have, but if I also limit the ability of this spell the way I did her spell list (reproduce only spells with long casting times or touch range self-buffs), then it can represent having a large collection of recipes that she knows. This would then leave the reality warping effects fora particularly rare blend that she doesn't use often.
